Hi I'm Taylor Andersen

I'm the oldest of 6 kids. I love feeling the Spirit through music. I tell pretty decent jokes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving the Lord for 18 months in the Texas McAllen Mission. My family means the world to me and I miss them, but I'm so happy to have to opportunity to help other families have the same joy that this Gospel has brought into mine. I love playing the piano and the guitar. Music is one of my favorite ways to express myself and worship my Heavenly Father. I plan on studying Music Therapy when I get home from my mission so I can help others through their problems with the love of music I have developed. I love sports! My dad was a coach, so a grew up either in the gym with the basketball team, or on the field with softball players. I play volleyball and softball and love watching almost anything. I love meeting new people and can be friends with just about anybody.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this Gospel. It has blessed my life so much. I know that I am never alone because of my Savior, Jesus Christ. He knows me and loves me along with everyone else in this world. The Gospel gives me the opportunity to live with my family forever through the blessings of the Temple. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and when I study it daily, I feel so much more happiness in my life. Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet of God on the Earth today and I know he receives revelation from my Heavenly Father on behalf of the Church. I have seen countless miracles in my life that prove to me over and over that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I am a Mormon, because I know there is no other way to achieve full happiness and return to live with my Father in Heaven after this life.

How I live my faith

During this time on my mission, I live my faith by sharing it. I love talking with my Heavenly Father through prayer and reading the words of His prophets in the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. I study the life of Christ and do my very best to follow the example He has set for mankind. I look for opportunities to serve, because that's what He did during His life and I find a joy in making others smile.

What is being a Mormon like?

Taylor Andersen
Being a Mormon is pretty much the same as being any other religion. I live my life and go about my day to day activities just like anyone else in the world. The difference is the Spirit I feel because I have been given the gift of the Holy Ghost. Because of this Spirit, I have a fuller happiness. I do my best to serve others and help them have joy. I strive to be an example to my younger siblings and everyone around me. Show more Show less
