Hi I'm Cory

I am a husband. I am a father of 5 children. I love to ride motorcycles. I am a 5 time ironman and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a physical therapist and have worked with geriatric people most of my career. I Love sports. I played Football in High School and college. I also played Rugby in college. I have a bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. I love to challenge my body. I've ran more than 30 marathons and completed 5 Ironman triathlons. I love to travel the world and learn about new cultures. Unfortunately I also love to eat the foods from across the globe. I like to tie flies and fly fish. I currently own a bike shop that specializes in triathlon and road racing bikes. Most of all I like to be with my wife, my children and their spouses.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew-up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I didn't really think about the church much as a youth. I didn't know if it was true and unfortunately I didn't really care. One night when I was trying to impress a girl I told her I was going on a mission (I had no intent to go on a mission, I was just trying to impress her). As soon as I said it I knew I should serve a mission. I've always loved making others happy. When I told that girl that I would serve a mission I knew by serving a mission I could help others be happy. Through prayer, obedience and experimenting on the Word I gained a knowledge of the Savior and His restored gospel. That mission did bring happiness to others and in the process it brought happiness to me. I try hard to follow the Savior and live His Gospel. It has made all the difference!

How I live my faith

I am a Bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love this calling because it gives me many chances to invite others to enjoy the blessings of the Saviors atonement. I also love to share the gospel when ever I get the chance. I carry a Book of Mormon where ever I go. Sometimes I feel a little awkward inviting strangers to read this great book, but I know when someone reads it to find truth, it will change their life.
