Hi I'm Carolyn

I am serving a mission with my husband in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I love being a senior missionary and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have 5 children and 19 grandchildren. I love to play the piano, read, and scrapbook. I grew up in a large city and then moved, after I was married, to a dairy farm where we raised our children. I am very interested, also, in family history and genealogy. I was a company president in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, where we studied the histories of our pioneer ancestors. I taught piano lessons for over 22 years. Several of my piano students won first place in a music competition in our school district.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the teachings of this church. I come from strong pioneer heritage whom I am very proud of. My parents both passed away when I was in my late teens and it was very hard for me, but with my Mormon beliefs I KNOW that we will be together again as my parents were married and sealed for time and all eternity in a Mormon temple and, therefore, my brother and I are sealed to them, too. Likewise, my husband and I were married in a Mormon temple for time and eternity so our children are also sealed to us. That is probably my favorite thing about being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for 18 months with my husband in Wisconsin. We work in the mission office for about 9 hours a day. We go home at night exhausted, but so thrilled to be serving the Lord! In our ward at home in Idaho I played the piano for the ward choir and taught religious lessons to both children, young women, and older ladies. In order to serve this mission I had to leave my 5 children and 19 grandchildren behind for 18 months. That was a very difficult thing to do, but my Heavenly Father has blessed me in so many ways in my life that leaving my home and family was something that I really wanted to do to show my thanks and love for Him.
