Hi I'm Brooke Ferrin

I was born in South Korea, but grew up in Utah and Ohio. I look forward to becoming an Elementary teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 right now and loving life, I am currently going to college and will recieve my associates degree in December 2012. After that I am excited to go to the Chile Concepcion South mission as a full time missionary. I look forward to learning Spanish, and serving the lord for those 18 months. After my mission I plan on continuing my education by getting a degree in Elementary Education. I also hope to someday get married and have a family. My favorite things include Disney's Pocahontas, the color purple, Phineas and Ferb and making movies with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know the church is true. I've been going to church for my whole life, and because of that I didn't always know for myself. As I grew up leaning on the testimony of others, I slowly learned for myself that it was true. I never had one defining moment when I knew the church was true, but slowly the Holy Ghost testified to me of it's truth. I know that as I live the gospel I won't be perfect, but through the savior I will be able to be forgiven. I don't only know of the churches truth, but I love the comfort that it gives me. Whenever I am unsure of myself I can go to my savior and I know he cares about even the smallest of my worries. The savior loves me, and through following the teachings of the church I can show him that I love him as well.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to represent and follow my savior everywhere I go. Right now I am teaching the four year olds in my ward. I love to go every week and have the kids smile and talk to me. Our class might not be the most reverent, but what group of four year olds are? I love to go and visit sisters in the ward monthly through visiting teaching. By visiting them I get to know more sisters in my ward and I know that the sisters in my ward care about me. I love going to church every week and look forward to serving full time in Chile.
