Hi I'm Leah Zvirzdin

I'm from Upstate New York. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Why hello! I'm Leah. I grew up in New York with a wonderful family! I have 7 brothers and no sisters; total tom boy. I love to be outside! Hiking the mountains, ice skating, playing field hockey are some examples. I play the piano, organ and guitar. Cooking and sowing are not my specialty, but I'm determined to improve, hopefully. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis since I was 18; it's a difficult struggle in my life. I try to overcome my weakness with a positive attitude and a laugh in my heart. One favoirte hobby I have is that I love love love to collect quotes; funny, religious, sentimental, inside joke quotes just as long as they mean something to me. I am currently serving a full time mission in the new Fort Collins Colorado Mission. It's been such a joy to serve and share the gospel with all those who want to learn more. I love it! I may not have all the anwsers but I know that this church has the fullness of the gospel. With furvent study of the scriptures and sincere prayers; anwsers will be found.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother and father were both converts in the church. I have been blessed to grow up in the church. But understand that I'm not perfect. Even though I was baptized and given the Holy Ghost, I still have made mistakes. I'm humbled to know that our Savior atoned for all our sins. He took upon Himself all of our mistakes and suffered for us that wouldn't have to suffer. How humbled I am to know that my Savior died for me. I want to show my Savior that I am following His gospel by being more obedient in His commandments. I testify that Jesus Christ loves us here on earth. This is not "the life" for there is more to come after death. Through the gospel of Jesus Christ we can live again, with our families forever. If we are willing to follow God's commandments and his Prophets, He will reward us in heaven. I know Thomas S. Monson the current Prophet leads us and guides us so that we may return to our Heavenly Father worthy of salvation. I testify to you, that there will never be a time that you are alone; call upon the Lord in prayer with real intent and I promise you that He will answer. I know Joseph Smith was the young boy who prayed to know if there was a God and he was given an answer; and he acted upon his answer to bring the true gospel on the earth once more. I have a testimony of this gospel of Jesus Christ. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints not only brings truth and understanding to me, but it has given me peace. The peace to know that I am not alone and that I have the scriptures of old and new scriptures (The Book of Mormon) that speak to me personally. I have found answers to my prayers by reading both. I testify to you that I know that this is all true, the happiness and comfort the Holy Ghost has given me proves that there is One God, One truth and this is it. I cannot deny it. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I grew up with the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I helped with the music at church, I played the piano and in future years the organ. It was really fun and service to the branch. I recently have been part of the children's classes called Primary. The little kids are so smart and they give honest questions to the teachers. I teach them songs about the church and how they are children of God. Let me tell you that I'm so happy that God loves all children, they are innocent and full of love. This has been a great calling. As I stated before, I'm on an LDS mission in Colorado. I'm so excited to be worthy to represent Jesus Christ and to be his servant.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Leah Zvirzdin
Why not? If God has guided people in the New Testiment with a Prophet, isn't it appropriate that we be given one to guide us as well? God is a fair God and will not leave us alone to defend for ourselves. We are a different people with new technology and busy lives, almost different temptations, so I believe that a Prophet that personally knows what is going on can guide us in the best way. He can relate to us what the Lord wants us to do in our lives now, in the present and future. Show more Show less
