Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I'm happily married and am a dad. I play golf and love to do gardening however, I find growing weeds is my greatest strength. I served in the US Navy.

Why I am a Mormon

I don't know that 2000 characters are enough to explain why I'm a mormon. I think the most prominent thing to me is that my testimony of Jesus Christ and my continual growth of understanding in His True and Living Gospel have brought more peace and joy to my life than any other thing in this world. I know that the restored gospel has brought back to the earth, the Priesthood and with that the sealing power to allow families to continue through the eternities. I also have come to a personal knowledge that God does in-fact continue to reveal His desire for us to return to Him through a living prophet and that this revelation allows us to always be more aligned with the desires our Father in Heaven has for us. I have also come to witness many miracles resulting from the laying on of hands and through the power of the Priesthood, the will of God and the faith of those receiving blessings. I also know that God reveals His will for us individually to us and it is made more clear through the gift and power of the Holy Ghost. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that He is a resurrected and living being and is the Son of God our Eternal Father. I also have come to personally know that Joseph Smith did in-fact witness God the Father and His Son the Resurrected Christ standing on the right hand of God and that through the prophet Joseph Smith, the fullness of the gospel was restored to the earth.

How I live my faith

I am currently a Second Counselor in the Bishopric of my Ward. We are responsible for the general administration of the ward and to minister to the members to help them build and grow their testimonies of Jesus Christ. I work with the leaders of the youth groups. In the Bishopric, we are also responsible to help the Bishop be able to tend to the spiritual and temporal welfare of members and non-members in our ward/neighborhood.
