Hi I'm Erin

I'm always up for an adventure. If a good laugh is involved I'm there. I love life! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Life's one grand adventure! There's always something new waiting for you around the next corner. Our job is to make the most of it. Life's too short to worry about silly things. Every day holds something different; something new. I love the simple things in life which in turn doesn't take much to put a smile on my face! I'm willing to try anything at least once. I'm an avid snowboarder, western swing dancer, reader, student, and friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into the chruch. However, this didn't give me a free ride to my testimony. I too had to come to know for myself. I wanted to be able to say that I knew this church was true. The steps to finding this answer were simple. I took action on that desire and began to study the scriptures, go to church and continued praying. In doing this, I have recieved my answer and have charished this answer in my heart. We have a Father in Heaven that loves His children. Unconditionally. There's no path one can take, no wrong one can do, no place one can go, that the Lord's love cannot reach. He is forgiving to all and wants nothing more than to bless His children. What greater knowledge can we obtain in this life than that? The one that created the universe knows you. He loves you. And wants nothing more than to bless you. Knowing this has brought unexpressable joy and peace to my life.

How I live my faith

I'm currenly serving a full time mission in Vancouver, Washington. Being able to spend every waking moment of my life on the Lord's time truely brings the greatest joy! Having the opportunity to share the message that this restored gospel is back on the earth today in it's fullness has been a desire of mine since I was a kid. Watching someone's face light up when they too come to undertsand for themselves this truth brings a joy unlike any other. One really couldn't ask for anything more in life.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets here on the American continent. The starting of the Book of Mormon takes place 600 years before the birth of Jesus Christ. It starts off when Lehi, a prophet of the Lord, was commanded to take his family and leave Jerusalem. They begin their journey into the wilderness and eventually make their way to the American continent. A record was kept and handed down from generation to generation. On them were recorded the experiences and high lights of the gospel. This is the same gospel we read about in the Bible. The event we tend to focus on the most when we first introduce people to the Book of Mormon is the visitation of Jesus Christ after his resurrection to the ancient people of the America's. In 3 Nephi chapter 11 we read about this. When he visits this people he sets up the same gospel that he set up when he was alive in Jerusalem, among the Jews. It is really amazing to read about. The Book of Mormon is just another testament of Jesus Christ, and it’s to show people that Christ is merciful unto all. That he loves all people, and wishes for them to return to live with him again. It goes hand in hand with the Bible, and testifies of the truthfulness of the Bible and of Christ's gospel. It outlines the Plan of Salvation and makes it clear to us what this life is for, and how much a part of it God is. It testifies that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that he continues to guide us today. Show more Show less
