Hi I'm Kelvin

Accounting is my trade, but family is my passion. I have four children, and four perfect grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family lived in San Francisco when I was young. I participated in the Boy Scout World Jamboree in Japan when I was 14 years old. At 17 I joined the United States Army and served as a medic in Germany for 2 years. When I returned home I fell in love with the woman who has been my wife for the last 35 years. Together we have raised 4 children, have seen each of them marry the spouse of their dreams we currently have 4 grandchildren with 2 more on the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an active Mormon household. I was baptized when I was 8 years old. When I was alone in the military in Germany, I had to determine for myself what I believed and how I wanted to live my life. I am grateful to my Father in Heaven for guiding me during this difficult process. I had to know for myself whether the teachings of my youth were from God or just a good way for some people to live or the way my Father in Heaven wants me to live. I had to know if the church was true, if the Book of Mormon was the word of God. When I approached my Father in Heaven in ernest prayer, I received a sweet confirmation of my faith. I know that God lives, He knows each of us, He knows our hopes and desires, and wants us to know Him. During the 38 years after that confirmation, He has continued to answer my prayers and provide the guidance that I need. I know that this church is His church on the earth today. The authority to act in His name is alive and well in His church. The priesthood is the authority to act in His name, it is used to heal the sick and administer the ordinances of His church. I will forever be grateful for His influence in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in our local congregation. I have served with the youth most of my adult life. They inspire me to live my life to the fullest and to seek the guidance of my Father in Heaven in all that I do. Additionally, I am assigned to visit a few families on a monthly basis, providing them with an inspirational message as well as loving support.
