Hi I'm Beth

I grew up in Arizona and now live in Colorado. I became a member of the LDS church in 2010. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife to a wonderful Christian man and mother of four children. I keep busy as a homemaker but I also work as a CNA.

Why I am a Mormon

I've had many seemingly insignificant experiences that collectively work together to encourage me to know that the LDS church is from God and is Jesus centered and teaches the truth. It began some 17 years ago when LDS missionaries first came to my door to share their message. I ended up not pursuing the LDS church but did become deeply involved with the Protestant church. Over the years I had a change of heart about the anti-Mormon teaching that I had heard. Several sets of missionaries dropped by my door as we relocated to various cities. I learned that the missionaries were led by the Holy Spirit regarding whose houses they visit and anything contrary I had heard of was simply not true. I prayed about the teachings and had an overwhelming response. In short, so much good has come of my decision to believe the teachings. I received the ability to forgive and the desire to mend relationships. In following the teachings, I also love my children and husband more than I ever before. I feel as though I have a deeper sense of understanding spiritual concepts. I am filled with more joy than I have ever had. My church "busyness" does not conflict or offer hindrances to this joy and goodness; it only adds to the goodness. It's truly as though the work that I am called to serve in is God's calling. Worldly busyness that I fall prey to at times does weigh me down but I soon realize the stark difference between godly callings and worldly callings and I make changes in my priorities. It's all been good and I'm thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Thankful for those who have come before me.

How I live my faith

I help in children's Sunday school classes and I meet with a few other ladies once a week or so to check in with them and see if they need any encouragement or help in any way. Rarely do any of the ladies need a helping hand so we usually just chat; it's a very nice visit. I also share a scripture message with them during the visit and I get to see their toddler's curious eyes and busy hands and feet move about the living room as they quietly play and interact with us. It makes me smile. Besides Sunday school, I attend church services on Sundays and it's my favorite part of the week. I've attended other churches for over 15 years, prior to my LDS experience, and I can hardly explain the good spirit I sense at the LDS church. It's new to me and wonderfully good.
