Hi I'm Kyle

I grew up in Laredo TX. I learned Spanish in California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently attending College. Working on my Associate's Degree. I like to create things. I've built a custom design entertainment center for my living room that fits against the back wall. I have built a two story shed in my backyard. I was able to do this through my previous jobs. Which gave me the interest in becoming an Architect.

Why I am a Mormon

I made a commitment to myself to find out if Christ really was the son of god, or just a man mentioned repeatedly in the Bible. I decided to do this in three vary distinct ways. Through reading the Bible, then pondering very carefully in my mind and in my heart what i just read, then finally I would ask god in humble prayer if what i have read is true. This was a very tedious process which lasted for what seemed like months. After gaining my personal answer given to me by god through his heavenly messenger, the Holy Spirit, I felt a warm peace come within my being assuring me with comfort and great joy. I knew from that moment that Jesus Christ was and is my redeemer and the redeemer of the world. But what does this mean? What am I to do with such an acknowledgement? I decided to look further and read the Book of Mormon. I went about searching for truth in the same manner as I have done previously with the Bible. And like the Bible, the answers did not come all at once. Some here and some there. But God in his wisdom and own due time did answer me. And the amount of love and comfort did fill my heart so exceedingly that I felt that I might not have enough room to receive it. I had such a feeling that all my doubts and unsureties had no room in my mind. My life now had a sense of purpose. I felt that everyone should receive these feelings in their lives. Whether they are in times of hardship or in unsurety. That they too may have purpose and joy in their lives.

How I live my faith

Last year a friend of mine introduced me to a volunteer organization in my city. In this volunteer work I would be able to use my god given talents to help others learn English as a second language. I decided to start teaching classes as soon as the leaders of the organization could organize a class for me. In time I began to grow closer to the students I was teaching and yearned for their success. I have a calling in my branch as the Branch Mission Leader. In this calling I act like the "middle man" making sure the needs of the investigators (the people the missionaries are teaching) are met through the branch leaders. I do my best to go with missionaries to their appointments. Working around my busy schedule to squeeze in some time to help in any way I can.
