Hi I'm Courtney

I grew up in Missouri. I married a United States Marine and we have 2 beautiful children. We are Mormons.

About Me

I am fortunate enough to stay home with my children every day, to raise them, to watch them grow. I am also a photographer, an artist, painter, and proud wife of my Marine. What brings me most fulfillment in life is being a mother and wife, and watching those loving relationships grow.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I cannot deny something that I know with all of my heart is true. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored, and I received my concrete answer to this through heart felt prayer. Our living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, leads and guides us directly where Christ would. He would not nor does he lead us astray. There is a straight and narrow path to follow, and while on this path, my life and the relationships in it are stronger and happier. If I have slipped away, I notice the small changes in my life, the blessings that I stop receiving. I know that we are promised if we do as He says, He will bless us so that we will not have room to receive those blessings. I stand as a witness of this being true. How grateful I am that my family and I have the knowledge of the Book of Mormon, The Bible, and all of Christ's teachings and promises. I am proud to be a Mormon, and I love it.

How I live my faith

I live my life the way I know our Heavenly Father would want me to. I refrain from alcohol, drugs and cigarettes. The music I love and listen to is music that would invite the spirit of God if it were near. In my home we pray daily, as a family, with our children, personally and as husband and wife. I have found how much more peace is brought into our day to day lives, and I definitely notice the difference when we do forget to pray. We also attend our church classes every Sunday, and try our best to read our scriptures. As parents, we are and will be held responsible for raising our children. I help them build testimonies of their own, not only through teachings but also by example. I live to be a woman that my children look up to. I want to be the best that I can be. I love serving others, and my passion is to give, give, give. Though at times it can be difficult, I try to see every person as God's children. I try my best to love all of my brothers and sisters. I count my blessings every day that God has given me. Without him, I know that I would not have a single one.
