Hi I'm Rachel

I am a wife to a ER Nurse, I am a mother to 4 beautiful busy kids, I am a homemaker, an artist, and I am a Mormon

About Me

Who am I? Wow! Where do I begin? I am a mother. I am blessed to have the opportunity to raise 4 precious spirits, who are very unique in their personalities and abilities. This is who I am the most right now. I stay busy with trying to be there for my children, running around in circles most of the time with different obligations. Then trying in between to teach them correct principles so they in turn can govern themselves wisely and make good choices. I am a wife to a wonderful man who had dedicated his life to helping others. We have been married for 12 years now and life have been a wonderful journey, with some highs and some lows but always the hope of a brighter future. When I get a few moments to myself and I am not about to fall asleep on my feet ( I still have little ones that love to wake Mommy up in the middle of the night) I love to work with my hands, I love creating something new. Painting is my new found hobby. I generate ideas form something I have seen and then making it all my own. I think I love it so much because I can completely control what I am doing and anyone who has raised kids know that there are times you feel completely out of control. This is my way of finding inner peace, and it is fun, so fun!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because my life has been so incredibly blessed that I can not deny that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's true Church established once again here in the earth. I have lived its teachings, I have read the Book of Mormon and the Lord's spirit has manifested to my spirit that it is true, it is the word of God. I Know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet, I know it because I have listened to his teachings and I have applied them in my life and I and my family have been blessed beyond measure. I am a Mormon because our faith brings hope and peace in these uncertain and troubling times. I am a Latter-day Saint because with have the Priesthood of God once again restored to earth. This Priesthood has healed me when I have been sick, has preformed miracles for my children, and has spoken peace to my soul. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I am blessed to be able to go to the Temple, the house of God. My family is bond for all eternity, death will not separate us. I am a Mormon because it has taught me who I am, why I am here, and where I am going when my time on this earth is over. Most of all I am a Mormon because this gospel makes me so happy, I am a better person, I have faith, hope, understanding, it just feels so right!

How I live my faith

How I live my Faith? I live my faith by trying to teach my children what Jesus taught, the simple phrase "what would Jesus do" is echoed throughout our home many times daily. I live my faith by trying to learn more about my Savior Jesus Christ, his mission, his ministry. I study his words found in the scriptures and spoken by prophets. I live my faith by praying to my Father in Heaven daily, calling out in prayer, thanking him for my many many blessings and humbling asking for his help in areas where I fall short and struggle. I live my faith every minute of every single day. I have chosen to make special promises with my Heavenly Father, promises that help me to be a better wife, mother, and person. Living my faith has become a part of who I am, what choices I make, what I say, think, act, feel. I live my faith by trying to turn my life over to God, to do what he would want me to do.
