Hi I'm Alex Kay

I love to sing and play my ukulele. I am a child at heart. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

HI!!! My name is Alex. I love music and camping. I am an Eagle Scout and work as a camp councilor during the summers of 2011 and 2012. I love to sing and dance. I also am a self taught ukulelist and love mindlessly strumming along to my favorite songs. I went to school at Brigham Young university and currently a sophomore. Life is good and I am happy to be on this earth. : )

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church, but that doesn't mean that I was forced to stay "Mormon". I had wonderful parents who showed me how important being a Mormon was and they understood that I had to make the choice for myself to continue in this gospel. I learned by their example and the joy that they had as they went to church every week. I am very grateful for the example that they showed me. As I grew up I started building my own faith. I did that by three main things, I prayed to God, I read my scriptures, and I participated in church. I had to work very hard to get my testimony. I didn't have an "ah-ha" moment where I was suddenly enlightened. It came little by little. I know now that this Gospel is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it was translated using the gift and power of God. I know Joseph Smith was called of God to bring Christ's true church back on the earth once more.

How I live my faith

I love serving in this church. I go and try to do good wherever I go because I know that I represent Jesus Christ wherever I go. I go to church every Sunday to learn more about Jesus Christ's gospel and learn more about the example that he provided for us. I read my scriptures every day. That includes the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I love praying, I love it because I am talking to my Father in Heaven and I know that he listens to me.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Alex Kay
You can know that Mormonism is true by reading the Book of Mormon. While your read it you need to think about what you read and then pray to God to ask him if this book is true. If your really want to know about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon then you will know that is true. As you pray for that Answer then every other question about Mormons will follow suit.
