Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a wife and a mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have many interests and I want to be able to experience as many things, cultures, music, cuisines, art and crafts as I can in my life. I love to learn new things and read books about cultures I may not ever get to experience first hand. I love to sew, to cook and to sing (sometimes at the same time!). I worked in a dental office until I had my first daughter. Now I am a stay-at-home mom and (usually) I love it! I moved a lot as a child because my dad was in the Air Force. He retired in Albuquerque when I was 10 and I have lived here ever since. I met my husband when we were 14 and we ended up getting married 5 years later.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and had a strong testimony in Heavenly Father's love for me from an early age. I did have some rebellious teenage years as most people probably do. But even though I was making bad choices, I never lost my faith. I have been approached quite a bit with harsh questions and teasing about my faith in this church over the years but it has made me realize some very simple and important truths about myself and about why I am a Mormon. The simple answer is that it makes me happy. It works for me and my family. The Church helps me to become the kind of person I want to be. I love the Gospel and the examples that we have in the scriptures. I love the members of this church and their willingness to serve and befriend those around them. I love that this church is centered on the family. I have a testimony of this church and of all of the good things that the members are doing. It is a solace and a comfort to me to have this faith.

How I live my faith

I recently became Primary President in my ward. It was a very big deal for me and I joke that it is my very first grown-up calling at church. I love to work with the children! They are such examples of Christ-like qualities that I want to continue to develop in myself. I have been coming to church by myself with my three girls for years but something amazing is happening now that I have received this new calling. I feel a real change for the better in my heart and in my home and my husband has recently started coming to church with me. I am so grateful for the loving support my ward has given my family over the years and the true friendships we have developed that have made my husband comfortable at church. I know that every sacrifice I've made and all the service I have done has come back to me in enormous ways!
