Hi I'm Kelsie

I grew up in Alaska and Utah. I go to college, I like to rock climb and stay physically active. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am in college right now and plan on becoming a physical therapy assistant. I love hanging out with my friends and family whenever i can. I enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, running, and being outdoors in general. I also like to read books, watch TV, and have lazy days just as much. I love road trips and meeting new people in new places!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or LDS (Latter Day Saint) and as we are more commonly known as "Mormon's" because i know without a doubt in my mind that this is the true church. I have been blessed to have grown up in this religion. I didn't always have the testimony and faith that i have now though. i used to think that attending this church and participating in meetings and activities was just to have a religion or sense of community. As i have had my share of problems in this world though I am so extremely grateful to have the true gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. This church doesn't just teach us about God and the Savior...we have the truth. The truth that can save our souls, bring light to the darkness of our minds, make sense of this world, and provide us with blessings beyond our understanding. I know without a doubt that God loves each and everyone of us and i know that he has provided us with his gospel and the structure which is this the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so that we may be guided through this life, as long as we desire, so that we may return to him. Eternal Families, Love, Knowledge, understanding who we are; these are all the things this gospel gives to us. It takes time to understand the depth of this gospel and look beyond our natural thoughts and desires to have unwavering faith but if you desire God will always be there to guide you and this church is where his truth can be acquired. I had desired to leave this gospel through my own selfish reasons so that i might take advantage of the "fun" things of this world. I was never happy during that time, yet i still received tender mercies from god and blessings i didn't know i needed. i was guided back to his gospel through his love for me, i have since repented and desired to share this gospel with the rest of his children and bring the happiness i now have to them only if they so desire. That's why i am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my church and meetings as often as possible. In my church i teach a class of sunbeams, which are the 3-4 year old children, i have grown to love them more than i thought i would since i don't usually spend too much time around small children. i have come to realize the special spirit they are blessed with and i pray that i can teach them about this wonderful gospel and that they can learn and hopefully choose to be baptized later and live blessed lives. i also do visiting teaching which is visiting with my assigned women in the ward, sharing a message, and usually bringing cookies (through personal preference). I love the unity and sense of family that can be obtained through getting to know these women and fulfilling my calling to the sunbeams. My knowledge and faith in this gospel grows every time i put forth the effort to this church and my callings. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is truth and given of God through his love for his children, which is everyone of us.
