Hi I'm Shea Morris Swenson

I'm a small town kid, I'm a follower of Jesus Christ and I'm a Latter-day Saint.

About Me

I joined the Church when i was 9 years old after my father made the decision to move me into my grandparents home to be raised by them in Blanding, Utah. They being active members of the church, I had the chance to see there example and try to emulate my life after them. As i grew older, I wavered in my high school years. I wasn't making the greatest decisions. I was active in the church and went to church just about every week, but I was far from active in the gospel. I wasn't being a good example of a Latter-day Saint and I know I led others to follow into the same mistakes I was making. After i graduated High School, I decided to move up to Pleasant Grove to live with my father to get away from the pressure of being asked if i was going to get my life together and serve a mission. But I realized quick that changing your scenery doesn't change much of anything. After hitting rock bottom shortly after I moved because of selfish mistakes. I said a prayer that started the chain reaction of events that helped soften my heart and lead me to my knees to plead for forgiveness. "Sometimes the Lord lets you hit the bottom so that you can recognize and accept that He is the rock at the bottom" In this process I decided to serve a mission and was called about a year later to serve a mission in the California Fresno Mission. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is real, I have felt Fathers love for me as I have changed my life to start to become a true follow of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church because my grandparents were members. I have stayed active because I have felt the atonement in my life and recieved a witness that Joseph Smith saw Father and Jesus Christ and that he was truly a Prophet of God.

How I live my faith

Each day Father has errands for us to run. As we act upon the promptings of the Spirit our faith in Jesus Christ and Fathers plan will fill our heart and bring us to our knees in gratitude.
