Hi I'm Ky Jacobsen

I love the outdoors. I never stop exploring. I'm a student. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student currently a studying to become a speech language pathologist. I claim loyalty to both Utah and Texas (Whoop!). My dream vacation is a road trip as a van hippie, and visiting every national park in the United Sates. I love the outdoors (running, hiking, and climbing). I'm a bit of a documentary nerd. I love a good book with a bowl of green curry. I have a slight obsession with food. I'm not a picky eater, but I can't stand most fish dishes. Although, I do love a good spicy sushi roll. I know. It doesn't make sense.

Why I am a Mormon

I am one of those members that grew up in the church. I never questioned my faith until a few years ago. I began to doubt that anything was really true. After a period of inactivity, I realized that I was extremely unhappy. I began searching for that light which had disappeared and realized that all true happiness I had ever experienced in my life came from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I no longer doubt my belief in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I prayed, and searched and discovered for myself that this Church is truth. It's principles and practicing ordinances bring me closer to God. And those days that I look up and see that the mountain I've signed up to climb seems impossibly tall, I stop and remind myself that I am not alone. We are not alone. This life is not an accidental boom of the cosmos. There is a God. He knows you and He loves you. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to save us all and His truths are fully taught in His church. That is why I am a Mormon. "To choose doubt as a philosophy of life is akin to choosing immobility as a means of transportation." -Yann Martel

How I live my faith

I currently serve with the women's organization in my church congregation. I love getting to know Heavenly Father's children by serving them. It brings me closer to Him and I am grateful for it.
