Hi I'm Carlin

I grew up in Seattle, I love MUSIC, Skating, and Nature!; I'm currently serving a full-time 2 year mission in Las, Vegas.

About Me

My name is Elder Anderson, and I love helping others come closer to Jesus Christ. I am currently serving a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love what I do because I get to talk to a lot of different people each day. I see people who need something more in their lives, and I get to be the one person that can help them. Through faith in Christ, you can overcome anything. There is no trial that you cannot handle when you know Christ has been there before you have. Before my mission, I was really into music. I Loved to write, play, and record songs, and I loved performing with my band; it was the most fun I ever had in all my high school years. I could listen to music for hours on end, just discovering new artists. I love to skate everywhere I go, it is a thrill!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that this is the true restored gospel of Jesus Christ on the Earth. That church that was set up by Jesus and his apostles has been given to us again along with the Apostles, authority, and ordinances found in the primitive church. My testimony came from God. I was praying one night for a long time, and as I looked up in the sky, I asked God if he was there listening to me, if he loved me, and if he really sent his son to die for me. Something came over me that confirmed that this was true.

How I live my faith

"Because I have been given much, I too must give." Just do the things Christ himself would do, all the time!

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Carlin
John 17:3 is among my favorite scriptures. It comes with the simple truth that "life eternal" is to know the Father and the Son. Through personal experiences, I now can stand and say that when we go through trials and face adversity, even when everything seems to be sinking down into darkness; we are standing closer to heaven than we think. Every time we experience even a token of what Christ himself suffered, we come to know him. We improve daily, repent daily, and endure daily so that one day we will see him and we will be pure even as he is pure! We will embrace the Father and the son and it will not be a new experience for us. Show more Show less
