Hi I'm Robert

I'm from Wyoming. I am a math and science nerd. I served a mission in the Philippines. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a math and science nerd, competed in Science Olympiad, and Science Bowl during high school. I was also involved in music and drama productions. That is I was in Choir, Orchestra, and even Band for a short while. Also, I perform in the occasional dramatic production. I've just recently gotten engaged, and that is probably the most exciting news of my life! I am going to college studying mechanical engineering. I worked as a gymnastic coach. I love building random things like giant slingshots, or like one time i made piles of propane bubbles in the garage to light on fire... don't try that at home without a good fire insurance plan.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or as a Mormon. My understanding of the gospel has come from study, applying the gospel into my own life, and through earnest prayer to our Heavenly Father. Many of my prayers have been answered, sometimes through feelings, sometimes another person has given me the answer that I was meant to have, and then the spirit of God helped me to understand that that was what he wanted me to know. Sometimes I have had to wait for my answers, and sometimes the Lord has chosen to withhold a direct answer. I know that God lives. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I know that they love us, for we are children of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson, the first presidency, and the Quorum of the twelve Apostles are all servants of the most high God. In short, I know that God calls men to hold the power to act in his name in our day, and through their counsel we can come to know God, and be kept safe from the trials, and troubles in our world. I know that faith isn't something that we just hold on to, but something that we must use, and by doing the things God commands us, is what is meant when he tells us to exercise our faith.

How I live my faith

I served a two year mission in the Philippines. I enjoy doing service with the church, mostly doing things like moving people into or out of their houses, or doing home repairs for those in need. In college, I would weekly organize a group of college kids to go and sing for some ladies in a retirement home. Currently, I am preparing to get married to a beautiful girl for time and eternity in the temple. Marriage is ordained of God, and I am super excited to spend eternity with this wonderful daughter of God.
