Hi I'm Britton!

I play basketball. I love the outdoors. I love to read and study truth. And check it! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I played basketball from my early childhood years up and through highschool. I dedicated a lot of my time to the sport, and was fortunate enough to play on a couple travel teams throughout my teenage years. I was able to travel to many different states to compete in tournaments. I like to stay in shape by working out and running, and I enjoy physical activity. I read fantasy and fiction, and write short stories for fun. I love my family, they're freaking awesome. I love spending time with them hanging out, or doing outdoor activities with them, such as hiking, kayaking, running, paintballing, and exploring the wilderness and mountains around my home. I love the rugged and chiseled peaks of the massive mountains of Utah. They're stunning, and I love to be alone in them, roaming the valleys and crests with my thoughts all to myself. I could stare into the seas' crashing waves forever. Looking at the expanse of the ocean, or staring up into a glittering stary night throws my mind to thoughts of the eternities, and I'm struck with the immensity of God's creations, and how great His Plan of Happiness is. It helps me refocus my mind on what's important in life, what really matters. I love storms too; lightning, thunder, wind and dark stormclouds, heavy rains. They all remind me of how great our God is. I also love to learn about the world, how everything works, and how God created and governs all things. And I love to have fun! And I want to learn how to water ski too!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know it's the true Church, and the same Church that Jesus Christ himself established during His earthly ministry, with Apostles and Prophets to lead and guide us through the challenges of life. Authority to administer the ordinances of salvation has been restored once again on the earth, and the Mormon Church holds that authority. Salvation is attainable for all men who come to Christ and humbly seek forgiveness. How mighty is our Lord to save us! For through Him, all things are possible! And through Him, we can obtain Eternal Life, and live with our families in His presence forever! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I stand as one of millions of witnesses in saying that Christ's true Church is restored, and eternal happiness can be obtained.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Latter Day Saints. Before my mission I was very active and involved in my Church activities. I was involved in the Scouting Program, and I am an Eagle Scout. I've also held leadership positions among the youth, and had opportunities to help plan activities such as sporting events and camping trips. I strive to understand the scriptures and help others understand them as well, so that our faith and understanding will grow and be strengthened in God's Plan for us.
