Hi I'm Kimberly

I am studying Music Education and plan on being a Choir teacher. I work hard and am good at what I do. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to school to be a High School Choir teacher, and I absolutely love music. With my whole soul. I also play the piano and the violin. I have also been a leader in a service organization and love serving people. I worked as a nanny and it really gave me a chance to serve and make others happy. I love reading almost anything, and I love anything outdoors. Hiking, biking, camping, and fishing are all some of my favorite things. I have many young family members and though they may get under my skin, they help me to find the joy out of life, if I take the time to look for it with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, and when I was eight I got baptized. I was good and loving life, and then all of a sudden when I was a teen I just didn't want to have things be hard anymore. It wasn't that being a member was hard, but being in my family was. So I stopped trying to be good and do the right things. After a bit of trying to be my own person, I realized that I wasn't happy. Happiness depends on the situation and it is fleeting, but joy comes from knowing who you are and what you need to do in this life. I realized that God loved me. No matter my faults and my mistakes. He loves me because I am His daughter, and He wants me to have joy. I chose to stay in this gospel because I have found joy in the knowledge that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me enough to send His son Jesus Christ to save me from my mistakes. All of my mistakes. And because God loves me, I know He answers my prayers about anything. That is how I know the Book of Mormon is a true book and a man can come closer to God by reading that book alone than by any other means. If you really want to know, pray, and He will answer your prayers because He loves you.

How I live my faith

The Savior taught us in the New Testament to serve. So in the church we get the opportunity to serve in different positions in the church. I have served in many. I have gotten to teach little children, help with service projects such as operation Iraqi children and making blankets for cancer patients, and plan fun activities like talent shows. In these many opportunities for service, I have met the most amazing people. One among those I hold dear to my heart because she changed my life. When you serve someone, you come to love them like Christ loves them, and then it opens your heart to what He wants to teach you. So you may start serving them by planning on serving and uplifting them but when you leave, you feel that they have served and uplifted you.
