Hi I'm Cara Ann
I am adopted. I love canyoneering, hiking, and snorkeling. I am a history major at BYU Hawaii and I am a Mormon.
About Me
I grew up in a small town in Northern California. I am the middle child of 5. I am adopted. I was sealed to my parents in the Portland, Oregon temple in 1992 for time and all eternity. I have always loved the outdoors and anything to do with being outside. I love to go hiking, surfing, snow-shoeing, camping--you name it, I love it! I also have a love of food and trying new things. I spent 7 months in mainland China teaching English to kindergarten aged children this past year. Here, I found my interest in languages. My goal is to be fluent in ASL and Mandarin one day. I have always had a passion for history and I am currently a history major. I enjoy watching comedy TV shows such as New Girl and Parks and Recreation. I love my simple life.
Why I am a Mormon
Why am I Mormon? I am Mormon because through my own personal study, pondering and asking, I have received a personal testimony of this wonderful gospel. I have felt the Lord's hand in my life and I know without a doubt in my mind that He loves me.
How I live my faith
Seeing that I grew up in the LDS Church, I have always been involved with my faith. I enjoyed my time in primary and young women's. I have such wonderful memories from those years. As I graduated high school and moved out on my own, I served in the Relief Society Presidency and on Family Home Evening Committees. I have always been an active visiting teacher. I believe visiting teaching and home teaching to be the two most important callings. I live my faith be serving and helping others. I believe this to be the best way for me to live my faith--through the pure love of Christ.
