Hi I'm Kimberly

I'm an Oregonian. I love barbershop music. I love to learn and teach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, but grew up in the suburbs of Oregon, which I will always say is the best place to live! I love jumping into new situations and meeting new people, so my education thus far has included multiple schools and even more majors. I seek to understand the world and the people in it, and enjoy sharing the things I discover with others. I have a new life plan every few months, and love the adventure of change. The constant parts of my life are my family, barbershop music, service, baking, and crafts. I find great joy in harmonizing and creating music with others, and love rehearsals where we learn and grow together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was originally Mormon because my parents are Mormons, and they raised me in the church. In college, I kept going to church because it was the right thing to do. Now I'm Mormon because I know for myself that this is where God wants me to be. He has guided me in my life, has answered my questions, and has calmed my fears. The peace I feel when I pray with real intent and talk to my Heavenly Father about my personal challenges and struggles helps me to know He loves me. The blessings I'm given every day demonstrate that love. The spirit I feel in my heart when I hear or share testimony of true principles fills me with light. And more than anything else, the joy and happiness the Gospel brings to my life chase away the darkness and despair I feel without it. There is real power found in the knowledge of eternal truth. The power to be happy.

How I live my faith

I love being involved at church, as it always gives me a chance to serve and help others. I have spent a lot of time planning activities, teaching classes, leading groups, providing music, and even dedicated a year and a half to full-time missionary service in California. I read the Bible and the Book of Mormon and study the Gospel of Jesus Christ regularly, and attempt to apply what I learn to my life. Prayer, weekly church attendance, and the scriptures keep me going each day, and I try to share the things that have helped me with those around me as much as I can. I love to accompany the missionaries in their lessons, and I love bearing testimony of God's love. I am constantly amazed at how the Gospel applies to absolutely everything in life.
