Hi I'm Jordi

I grew up in Utah. I'm a Civil Engineering student at Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have attended college for two semesters and hope to become an Engineer one day. I had the privilege of serving my brothers and sisters on a full-time mission to Guatemala for two years. My hobbies at home include swimming, camping, target shooting, and basically anything outdoors. My family and friends are extremely important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and taught by my parents from a very young age; however, there came a point that I had to find out for myself whether or not this church was really Christ's kingdom upon the earth and whether or not Joseph Smith was really a prophet. At age 11, I finished reading the Book of Mormon for the first time. Upon doing so, I read the admonition found in Moroni 10: 3-5. I did as Moroni exhorted, and prayed to my Heavenly Father with a sincere heart to find out whether or not the Book of Mormon was true. Immediately as I prayed, I was overcome with a warm, peaceful feeling in my heart, and at that moment I knew that what I had read was true. Since then, I have learned and grown a lot and have had numerous other spiritual experiences that have confirmed to me time and time again that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is indeed our Savior's church reestablished again upon the earth at this time. I would encourage anyone who is reading this and is investigating our faith to read the Book of Mormon, ponder on its message, and pray to our Heavenly Father about the things you feel. I testify that if you do so with real intent and a desire to know, our Heavenly Father will manifest to you the truth by the power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving my fellow men, studying the words of our Savior, and acting on His councils. Striving to apply the teachings of Jesus Christ into my daily life is how I live my faith. My goal in life is to learn how to turn outward and serve others as Jesus Christ would do rather than turning inward and serving myself as the natural man does. Through Christ and His atonement, I know we can all be healed from our sins and strengthened to overcome all of life's obstacles.
