Hi I'm Sam

I'm a Missionary, a college student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Sam. I’m an 19 year-old college sophomore, studying business management at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I have recently been called to serve as a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been assigned to serve in the Montana Billings Mission. I am very excited to invite others to come unto Christ as a missionary. I enjoy sports, making and riding skateboards with my friends, and making people laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. It gives me purpose, direction and security. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because, it is the gospel I know and love. Though I was raised in the church, I believe that everyone must become truly converted unto the gospel of Christ. I know no one is perfect, I and need the atonement of Jesus Christ to fill in the gap made by my mistakes. I love studying the scriptures and learning more each day. I know that the bible and Book of Mormon are the word of God, and testaments of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father and Savior who watch over me. I know that I am a child of God, and that Families can be together forever. The gospel has always brought me peace and happiness and I know that through love and following the Lord and his teachings that happiness will only continue.

How I live my faith

I enjoy attending my church with a congregation of other young single college students. We have great fun together as we learn about and worship our Savior Jesus Christ. We not only learn and laugh together, we care for each other while we are away from our families. Each week, I have the responsiblity and privlegde, of ensuing each brother in our congregation is at church and accounted for; to make sure everyone is doing well, and each members needs are seen to.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

We believe in following in the footsteps of The Savior, Jesus Christ. During His life on Earth, Christ was often found around the oppressed and the rejected. He went about helping those who no one else would, regardless of their health or social status. He helped those who couldn’t help themselves. We join with The Savior in seeing all people as children of God and brothers and sisters. We delight in being friends and helping anyone in need, Mormon or otherwise. Show more Show less
