Hi I'm Heather

I am from California, I go to BYU-Idaho, I am a recently returned missionary from the Alabama Birmingham Mission.

About Me

I am the youngest of 8 kids and I have 15 nieces and nephews. My mom is my best friend and my hero. I love being with my family, especially on Sunday nights. I love boating and jet skiing. I love throwing a Frisbee on a warm summer day. I love road trips to the beach or the mountains. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I believe that we find peace and joy through music that we can't find anywhere else. I love kind people. Long boarding is fun too. One of my favorite places on earth is in the middle of an open field with a blanket. I have a recent love of playing the ukulele. I believe that everything should be documented through pictures and that swings are good for the soul. Dance parties and watching movies are also high on the list of things I love to do. I speak in movie quotes a lot. Life is all about finding joy in the everyday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches is true. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, was born to Mary in Bethlehem and lived a perfect, sinless life. I know that He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and died on the cross at Calvary for me and for you because He loves us. He was perfect and the only one who could suffer and die for the world. It was not easy for Him, and that's what makes it so special to me. He suffered more than we can ever imagine and we owe Him all that we are because of that. I know that He lives because He was resurrected. I know that Joseph Smith restored Christ's church and that he was called of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today and that he was also called of God. I am so grateful for the great Plan of Happiness and that I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

As a missionary, I go out every day and teach people about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Before my mission I had callings, or assignments of things I could do to help my Brothers and Sisters. But I think most importantly, living faith is by the little things we do every day. Helping others when they need it, offering a smile or a wave to someone who seems lonely. Doing the things that Christ did when He was on the earth.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?
