Hi I'm Brady

I grew up in northern Utah. I am going on a mission to the Brazil São Paulo South Mission on March 13.

About Me

I am a General class amateur (ham) radio operator. I love boy scouting and have worked at boy scout camps for 3 summers. Camp Cherry Valley (Catalina Island) and Camp Cutter in the Redwood forests near Santa Cruz. I love auto mechanics. And continue to learn more about it every time I work on my car, my 4 wheeler, or even dreaming about fixing up my future car (1989 mustang lx turbocoupe). I love fixing things. I have taken plumbing and electrician classes and love learning skills and trades. I want to be a Seminary teacher someday, but my backup plan is to become a high school science teacher. I love biology, chemistry, and physics. I just live learning about the world and everything in general. I was also on swim team for 3 years and water polo for 4 years. They were some of the funnest times I have ever had.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saintsbecause I know Christ's gospel is restored on the earth again. James 1:5 tells us that if we lack wisdom we can ask God and he will give us an answer. It does not tell us that it will always be audible but I know that we can know in our hearts the truth that He tells us. It is through that feeling that I know this church is true. This church is organized under the same priesthood that existed in Christ's church long ago. It has the same organization. It also does not seek to answer every question that one may have but focuses more on the way Christ has taught us how we should live and how He continues to teach us how to return to live with Him again through modern revelation. I am a Latter-day Saint (mormon) because I know without a sliver of doubt in my mind that this is His church and that it is His gospel and that by living by the principles this church teaches and receiving all necessary ordinances (I.e. baptism) under the proper power and authority of the priesthood, we can return and inherit the eternal blessings of heaven with the Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love to provide service and jump when I have opportunities to do so. Service is one of the major components of our religion as we are to emulate the Savior Jesus Christ and His whole life was one of service to all humans that have lived and are yet to live on this Earth. I also am trained in emergency communications so that in the event of an emergency I can help to provide communications through ham radio for those of my church. I love my family and am excited to start my own in a few years. Family is a piece of heaven on earth and they mean everything to me.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Brady
Knowing the true nature of God is essential to coming to know Him on a personal level. After all how can any of us expect to live with Him in heaven if we don't even know who He is. We believe in three distinct beings. God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God the Father. When the scriptures reference that they are one this is a metaphor as in that they are all one in their wills. They all have the same purpose that is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. All of them want our happiness to be true and everlasting not just to be short and only last during mortality. They love us and have done so much for us that we are eternally indebted to them.
