Hi I'm Rebekah Jane

I am a teacher, creative card designer, a daughter of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Texas, I am number five out of six children. I grew up in a loving home full of laughter, hard work, and goodly parents that taught me so much of what I know. I love to learn, read, travel, and create. I am involved with many things outside of the home that help me in exploring new things. I went to college in Idaho and received my degree in education. I have been married for 5 years and have enjoyed the happiness and challenges it has brought. I am far from home, living in Pennsylvania, but I am enjoying the change of scenary.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ and I know that this is His true church established on the earth. I have had too many to count moments that have witnessed to my heart that they are true. I lost my father at the age of 14 in a tragic car accident. I was in the vehicle that tragically took his life. I walked away with only scratches. It changed my life forever. That moment in time changed my outlook on life in everyway. I was taught by goodly parents that taught me to be obedient, kind, and how to work hard to seek out the things I wanted. But after my father passed away, I learned that the things I do and say do matter. I learned that we have to choose everyday to do good and to develop attributes that allow us to be more tender, loving, and more like our Savior. I know that by being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have chosen to follow my Savior. It is my greatest desire in this life--to do all that I can to faithfully return to live in His presence again. I also understand the divinity of the family and that we can have our families eternally. Being a Mormon has taught me this truth and so many more truths. I love it!

How I live my faith

Living my faith is absolutely everything to me. It is my guide during the hard times and the blissful times. My faith is continually strengthened as I seek out the words of the living Prophet and apostles and focus my efforts on becoming more like my Savior. Each week when I attend church, I feel that my internal battery is recharged and ready to face the challenges of a new week. I have the opporuntiy to serve each week at church when I teach the primary children. They bring perspective and goodness into my life and strengthen me with their unwavering testimonies that Jesus Christ lives and that he loves each of us. I also seek out each week to reach three women that might need love and attention. I pray for them and I seek out ways that I can serve them. Every day I read from the scriptures and learn from Prophet's of old. I try earnestly everyday to do the Lord's will. I find that when I serve and put my troubles to the wayside, I am the happiest.
