Hi I'm Teralee

I sing. I love to exercise. I love to learn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently am going to school to be a teacher, because I have always loved to learn and love working with children. I also work in a pharmacy, and have enjoyed picking up a skill I did not think I would enjoy at all. Music plays a really big role in my life. I couldn't sing a note when I was younger, but loved music. I began music lessons and learned how to sing. I practiced for hours and hours, and every year get a little bit better. I feel like music is different way I can express my feelings to others and God. Music inspires me to the best person I can be, and always has the ability to calm me down when life gets hard. When I was nineteen I was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety. I no longer have either of these two things any longer, because I was healed through our Savior Jesus Christ. I also picked up a love for exercising during this time to help me overcome the feelings I was having. I began playing Tennis again, and found I absolutely love it! I love it so much, because it something that I can do with my dad. I know that the trials I am given in this life help me to become a better and stronger person. I look forward to my trials, because I know they will bring me closer to Christ. They help me to learn and grow each and every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not always believe in God, but during the years after high school I was hit with some really hard times. I tried everything I could to overcome them, but I couldn't do it. I read books, I tried meeting with counselors, I tried medication, I exercised and ate healthy, and the list goes on and on. I really tried everything I could think of and they all helped, but never cured my anxiety and depression. I finally gave up and lost all hope. I truly believed there was no purpose to my life. The missionaries were angels sent to me, because they helped me come unto Christ to be healed. Through the help and support of many people I finally began to believe, and come to truly know of the love of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ has for each of us. It took a really long time, because my life was like a shattered glass vase. It almost seemed impossible to fix, but it wasn't. Christ took each shattered piece and slowly began to piece them together. After a year and a half I was completely cured of anxiety and depression. I have no thoughts of it ever since and am the happiest I have ever been. My life circumstances did not change, in fact when the missionaries were teaching me it became harder. However, I can make it through because of the power that was given to me. I am a Mormon, because it is the only way that truly brings me happiness. I love the Book of Mormon and the Bible and truly know they are the true words of God brought to bring happiness to each of us. They give me power, strength, and love into my life each and every single day. I know as I continue to follow God's plan it will bring uncomprehending happiness.

How I live my faith

Everything I am I owe to my Savior Jesus Christ. I try to reflect everything I do and say as he would do and say. From right when I wake up in the morning I pray to find for people who may need a little extra help, because they truly are the ones that I see our Savior through. By serving others it helps me to always have a prayer in my heart. I have had so many opportunities to serve others through my faith. I have served as ward missionary in my ward, and the ward compassionate service leader, and love to visit others. I truly believe each person is so remarkable, and has something special they bring to this earth. I love to share what I have learned from the scriptures with others, so that they can find stories they can relate to through reading about our Savior Jesus Christ. I will be serving a mission for my church in just a couple weeks, and know it will be the best thing I have ever done up to this point in my life. I am so grateful Jesus Christ and My Father in Heaven for giving me the opportunity to bring others unto them.
