Hi I'm Ian

I lived in Missouri all my life. Now I'm serving in the Texas San Antonio Mission! I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 and about to go on a mission! I played soccer, wrestled, and pole vaulted in high school. I also love art and music and participated in Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, and Show Choir. Now i spend my time preparing for my mission, earning money (i have a part-time job and do various services on the side), and spending time with members of my llocal Church who have become my best friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this Church. I have been a member all my life and was baptized when i was eight. I have continued to progress in my faith since that point. What I love about this Church is the unchanging truth of the gospel and the spirit I feel in holy places and when those members of my church bear their testimonies. I was also born into a large family that I love with all my heart. I am the ninth child of ten (6 girls, 4 boys). I couldn't imagine ever being without them and I am so thankful that i have the ability to be sealed to them for eternity. My brother died when I was 7 years old. He was 14 and he was my best friend and the person I looked up to the most. When he died it hit my family hard, but it has always been comforting that i will see him again. I look forward to the opportunity of marrying a beautiful woman in the temple and having a family of my own that i can spend the rest of eternity with. Along with having such a big family we get a lot of conflict and a lot of hard times and occasional poor decisions. Because of this, I am so grateful for the love of our Savior Jesus Christ who atoned for our sins and made it possible for all of us to make it back to him. I'm also grateful for Heavenly Father's love for us, and that he sent his only begotten to die for us. I couldn't imagine life without my religion, it would be too hard to handle. I rely so much on the strength it gives me and the support system of friends and family that I have in the church. And now I can't wait to serve my mission so that I can spread the gospel and help others obtain the joy that i possess.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Executive Secretary for my singles branch, But will leave soon for my mission. I actively attend Branch meetings, church services, institute, and the other church activities we have (such as dances, barbecues, etc.). I also participate in ward choirs or do musical numbers whenever possible. -That's all old news now! Now I'm serving in the Texas San Antonio mission and love it! I have come to appreciate how great of an opportunity mission work is! I now get to see miracles every day and I have to be led by the Holy Ghost and I love it!
