Hi I'm Patricia

I am a royal air force child so was born in Kenya, I am a care assistant. I am a mormon

About Me

I love music and films, I write poetry, do T'ai Chi every week, and Yoga every day; and I am a stepmother.I was not able to have children of my own. I am a care assistant in a residential home, and am working on gaining a NVQ in Health and Social Studies qualification so I can work in palliative care. I have attended many schools in my childhood as we moved around with the Air Force quite a bit.

Why I am a Mormon

I was not raised in a particularly religious family, but I always believed in God , and in Jesus Christ. I joined the church in 1982. I was invited by a friend to read the Book of Mormon, and the Prophet Joseph Smith's Testimony . I was asked to pray sincerely to know if this was the truth or if Joseph Smith was lying, and as I prayed, I experienced a peace in my heart and mind that I had never felt before. I found myself saying out loud that I knew the Book of Mormon was the word of God, and since that time I have never looked back, so many questions that I had have been answered.

How I live my faith

I am a Sunday School teacher, teaching 13 - 15 year olds, and love it. I participate a lot with the Women and do visit Sisters in our congregation when I can. Since joining the church I have served a full time mission in Manchester, and I have spent many years teaching the children in church, and also love conducting music and paricipating in choirs.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

I know that when I pray, I pray to a loving and perfect Father, who loves me and cares about me and what is happening to me. Because I have this knowledge, I know beyond a shadow of doubt that God our Father loves and cares about you too. Show more Show less
