Hi I'm Halee

I'm a wife, mother, performance artist, teacher, dancer, and mormon!

About Me

I grew up dancing, singing, acting and performing. I am a dancer by definition. Music was always a part of my home. I carried my love for the performance arts into college and career. Teaching, choreographing, and performing have always been great passions of mine, and I feel blessed to have a career doing what I love without taking too much time away from my family. I love the outdoors. It's fun to be girly on a dance floor and then turn around and climb some massive rock or ride a jetski. I also love to write. I have pages and pages of poetry and unfinished stories hidden away in binders, computer folders, and journals. I am a mother to two crazy small children (2 and 4) and I'm married to the hottest man alive. (No contest. Period.)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. In fact, I am a descendant of multiple generations of members on either side of my family tree. However, I almost find myself frustrated when people begin to assume that I am a Mormon just because I was raised that way. Don't get me wrong, I was raised VERY Mormon. I am proud of my parents and the way they lived the gospel in our home. I was taught gospel principles by word and example my entire life. However, my testimony is, and always was, my own. I have believed since I was a very small child that this church was Christ's true, restored church on the earth today. The feelings I have received in my heart throughout my life are undeniable witnesses to this. Each time I have had a doubt or concern reguarding doctrines that didn't make sense to me I have found that further study and prayer have led me to solid answers which ring true to my head and to my heart. I encourage anyone who has any doubts or concerns to do as so many before you have done: pray and ask God. He will hear you. He will answer. I believe with all my heart that we are children of a Heavenly Father who knows and loves us. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer, die, and live again so that we may return again to Him. Jesus Christ is our Savior. When we use the great gift of His Atonement in our lives, we can feel a change so mighty that it can fill the darkest holes in our lives with light. I have felt this amazing power in my life. It is a power so real, so tangible, and so life-altering that it absolutely needs to be shared!

How I live my faith

Teaching at private studios, I have unique opportunities to be an influence in the lives of young people. My high standards, and the confidence they give me, shine through and impact those with whom I work on a daily basis. My continual hope is that the light that shines through me will help guide and direct the wonderful, beautiful spirits with whom I come in contact daily toward choices that will positively affect their lives. Even greater than my desire to lead the youth I work with is my desire to lead my own children to the truth. They are my tiny converts-in-progress. My duty to teach them the gospel and to help them understand, believe, and know what I know with all their hearts is of utmost importance. Additionally, my marriage is uniquely affected by our faith. We are experiencing a kind of joy that many believe to be impossible to find these days. Daily I find little ways to live my faith as a mother, performer, teacher, and wife. I'm not just Mormon on Sunday! I'm a Mormon all day, every day. Don't get me wrong; I make mistakes. But I have faith in gospel principles that helps me brush off and try again each time I mess up, and I hope that in spite of my weaknesses my faith rubs off on those around me.
