Hi I'm Becky

I love learning new languages, playing piano, singing, reading, listening to music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated as my high school's first valedictorian in 2009. I am attending an amazing university and am an Accounting major. I speak English, Spanish, and Chinese. I am currently learning Korean and Japanese. I want to get a Master in East Asian Studies. I am applying to teach English in China for a year. I love all things musical. I play piano and some guitar. I listen to music nonstop. I also love to sing. I used to be a swimmer but it conflicted with more important things in my life, so I swim for myself now. I love to read and I do so very often. I enjoy baking for other people because it's fun and I'm not big on sweets myself. I love nature and animals. I love to meet new people and I love to have fun!!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and was taught the truth from birth. My parents raised me so well. It was not until much later in my life, however, that I truly became converted. I went through trials and my faith was tested. I questioned the things I thought I knew. I had to take time to really dig down and study and ask myself if I truly believed. I read the Book of Mormon all the way through for the first time when I was 17. I prayed and studied. I felt the truth held in that book. I could not deny it. When I prayed, I felt my Father answer. I knew He was there. Since then, I have gone through other trials that have tested my faith. I questioned other things. I almost died in a terrible car wreck in 2010. The entire vehicle was totaled. The vehicle rolled across the interstate and was a mess. I remember the entire thing like I was watching from outside. I remember opening my door and getting out. Days later, I went to the yard it was towed to so I could get what I could from my vehicle. I couldn't open the door. And when I looked at my vehicle I was amazed. The entire thing was crushed. Except for that one corner where I was. It was truly a miracle. And I knew I had some unfinished work to do here. I have lived my life ever since doing whatever I could. I've been through trials ever since and I now can say with all my heart that I know my Father in Heaven loves me. I am His daughter. My Savior suffered and bled and died for ME. They know me better than anyone else. They love me more than anybody ever could. And I love my Father and Savior more than anyone or anything in this world. The Lord loved us enough to restore the fullness of His gospel on this earth. I am a Mormon because I love my Father and want to please Him. I am Mormon because I know the Church is true.

How I live my faith

I give my all to my calling regardless of what it is. I have had a variety of callings and assignments in the Church and I do my best to use it to bring happiness to others and help people. I try to serve people wherever I go and bring some peace to the world. I am very understanding of people from all walks of life because I grew up in an area with very few members of my faith. Most of my closest friends are not LDS (Mormon) and don't believe or live like I do. I don't judge from looks and I love everyone. I try to let others feel that love in their lives.
