Hi I'm Eddie Maisey

I was born and raised in oil country, Williston, North Dakota. I am a hardworking athlete. I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

I come from an area where it is hard to find LDS people. During my high school years I was very engaged in athletic programs. I wrestled, played football, ran track, boxed, and played basketball whenever possible. However, on all of the teams i participated in I was the only Mormon. Luckily for me,I had friends that respected me and my standards. Which resulted in me being able to plant a lot of seeds in people's lives by answering their questions. I have always enjoyed sports and have also been blessed with the talent to be very successful at them. I am currently working and studying the scriptures to prepare myself to serve a mission in the Marshall islands majuro mission. Afterwards I have plans to persue a career in dentistry and marry the woman of my dreams :)

Why I am a Mormon

Fortunately I was born in an LDS family and because of that I always had the church in my life. However, this doesn't mean I had a free ride into the Mormon faith. I believe that everyone is a convert because nobody is dedicated to this church because their parents made them. So I am a Mormon simply because I searched the scriptures and found out for myself at a young age that this is the true church. I love being a Mormon, a positive influence for the world, and a representative of my lord and savior Jesus Christ and his true and everlasting church, the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have found I love to live the gospel to the fullest. When I am choosing the right and being a positive example for others, I not only feel less stress and negative feelings in my life but I also found that I come off as a more friendly person to others. I love the church and I know I have a testimony of it's truth. I have noticed that living my faith is not easy and it takes step by step, day by day commitment. However, I have realized that that's okay because those little steps it takes to be happy like going to church, praying, and reading the scriptures are completely worth it. Everyone around you will notice including yourself. I hope and pray to be able to share this wonderful gift of the gospel to everyone I can because I know it is the best thing for everyone.

Are Mormons Christians?

Eddie Maisey
We are as Christian as they come. A Christian is anyone who believes in Jesus Christ. We not only believe in him and have his name in our church's title, The Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-day Saints, but our main goal is to be like him and help as many others become like him too.
