Hi I'm Aliena

I am a wife and a mother of five children. I like to work on projects with my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am first and foremost a wife and mother. I love to spend time with my family. I love to play the piano, write stories, and do embroidery. I also love to ski in the winter. I studied English in college and am a member of a book club. My family and I like to work and play together. Whether it's putting in a yard, or remodeling the house, we all pitch in. We also like to sit by the fire in the winter and read together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by loving parents who encouraged me to find out for myself whether or not the church is true. I took their counsel and prayed to know for myself. I recieved an answer from my Heavenly Father that Jesus Christ lives, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church, that the Book of Mormon is true, and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I have also recieved more witnesses to the truth through promptings of the Spirit that have touched my heart when I have heard others bear testimony of the gospel. Through living the gospel I have found joy that cannot be found by any other way. The knowledge that I am a child of God who loves me and wants me to return to Him helps me in everything I do. It makes me want to be a better person and to share with others the peace that comes through living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins so that I may repent. I know that the atonement was given freely for all who will accept it.

How I live my faith

I have served in many callings in the church. My favorite ones have been teaching young children. I have played the piano or led the music when needed. I like to participate in the choir. I try to help out in my kids' schools when I am able. I enjoy participating in service projects, whether they be big or small.
