Hi I'm Alex Kenneth Durham

I'm nineteen years old. I'm from Yucaipa California, serving a mission in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a missionary finally! I've been waiting all my life to serve. I was born in San Bernardino California, raised there for a little bit there and in Rialto. I've lived in Yucaipa my whole high school career. I've got a family of seven all together. My father is a very smart man and is a regional manager for the UPS, my mom is the best stay home mom ever, she gets payed money to take pictures as well. I have four siblings: my sister is one year older than me and on a mission in Texas Houston, a younger brother who is a cross country runner, another younger brother that is a wrestler, and a youngest sister who is a talented singer. I love all sports, in high school I played water polo and I was a swimmer. I love math. I hope to go to BYU Provo when I get home from my mission. I was one of the first eighteen year old missionaries that were called to serve after President Thomas S. Monson's anouncement that missionaries can now serve at age eighteen. I love being a missionary and I am a child of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I chose to be, not because I was born and raised in it. I have read and prayed to know for myself to know whether it is true, and I have received a divine witness of the Spirit that it is true. I am Mormon because I know with all my heart that it is Christ's church here today, being lead and guided by Him through a prophet of God. I worship God, I follow Christ, and the Holy Ghost is my companion. Nothing on earth can make me denie the above statement. If needed I will do anything for this Gospel, for it is my joy! I am doing my best to reach the Kingdom of God, where we are promised to receive a fulness of joy, even as the Father and the Son, for all eternity. I pray that everyone may partake in the love, joy, and peace this Gospel brings to all who come unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I wear a white collared shirt with a tie every day. I put on a name tag that says I am a representative of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I carry my scriptures with me everywhere, I study out of them everyday. I'm serving the Lord for two years by Preaching His Gospel.
