Hi I'm Dollie

I'm Mexican-American; I play the saxophone and the clarinet and have a passion for honor bands. I'm an AP student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was named Dollie because my dad thought I looked like a little doll when I was born :) My parents moved the family here when I was 9 years old; we were Presbyterian before converting to Mormonism. I love playing my instruments, reading, skiing, writing, and talking. I'm a senior in high school and have a preference for 20th century American history and psychology. Someday, I hope to marry in the temple.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives my life meaning. I know of no other religion that gives you the knowledge that you have worth, a purpose, a reason to live and improve yourself. Unlike many people I've met, I do not ask myself "Why am I alive?" Life hasn't always been easy for my family and there are still many challenges to come, but the gospel comforts me and let's me know that all will be well.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by practicing Bible and Book of Mormon home study every weekday morning, and going to church every Sunday. Most importantly, I live my faith by exercising the values it teaches in my everyday life. I partake in service as often as I can, smile often, tithe, and am always available to anyone that needs to talk or a shoulder to cry on.
