Hi I'm Mark Edison Navas

I am a child of God. I love dancing, singing, writing, and reading books. I also love sports. I am happy to be a Latter-day Saint.

About Me

My name is Mark Edison because my mother took it from a Bible and a scientist. St. Mark is the first source and Thomas Alva Edison is the second one. My mother hoped that I can always remember my name so that I can be both God-centered and wise. I like music. I love dancing. I usually prefer to write more than reading. I love writing poems, quotations, songs, stories, and other things that can inspire and motivate others to do better. I also love reading the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants. I can play basketball, volleyball, badminton, chess and other board games. What is exciting about me is the relation of my name to my favorite number, to my perspective in life, and to my current cellphone simcard. My second name is Edison. If you read it backward, it will be read as NO SIDE, which is a characteristic of my number 8. If you turn it 90 degrees, in Mathematics it will be a symbol for eternity or eternal. And that is my perspective in life. Life is eternal, if and only if, you will have my sim, TM, which can mean to be a Temple Marriage. ^_^

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed to God if this Church is true, and I receive the answer through my feelings that it is true. I have nothing more so sure than this. I am receiving light, truth, knowledge everyday that testify that I'm on the right path. My mother is the first one who is baptized in the Church in 2006. And I investigated the Church for two years. I have been in several denominations of faith. But, all of my beliefs through them seem vague and abstract. Because of the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, plus the teachings of our modern prophets, I know that if I continually become humble and more like Christ, I can and will be knowledgeable why and how things happen. I know that everyday is a miracle, everywhere there is a miracle, and everyone is and can be a miracle! I'm eternally grateful to my Father in Heaven for allowing me to accept the gospel. Now in my life, I am happy because I know where can I turn for truth, that is to search and to ask God. ^_^

How I live my faith

I have faith in the Savior Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father so I'm trying to be like Jesus. I keep the Sabbath day holy and partake of the sacrament each week. I pray, read, and ponder the scriptures so that I can obtain forgiveness of my sins and be perfected in the cleansing power of Christ's atoning sacrifice. I have loved and completed my Duty to God, a program that can help young men to be nearer to God and prepare to serve God in full-time mission. I attended seminary and am still attending institutes. I am very happy being a member of the Church because I learned to serve young people in and outside the Church. Being a a Latter-day Saint is a perfect privilege to have faith and obtain more faith and gain more and more faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
