Hi I'm Jonny

I'm an eighteen year old from Las Vegas, NV. I have produced my own album available on iTunes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jonny. I am eighteen years old, and I love the life I have been given. I spent my spectacular childhood growing up in "Sin City" otherwise know as Las Vegas, NV. I am the 4th child of 6 kids born to my mom and dad who I consider without any doubt my personal heroes. Having been taught all my life to strive to become the best person I can be, my family and friends have supported me in what has been my life's biggest journey - recording my own album. With time, sacrifice, and love from my outstanding family and friends, I spent two years under the direction of two music producers in Las Vegas, creating and putting together a 10 song album. Since its release in 2011, my album "Soldier" has been placed on iTunes, with songs playing throughout the nation in over 15 states. Music is my passion. It always has been, and always will be. After graduating from high school, I am now a college student and learning how to live on my own. Life has taught me so many lessons, with so many more to come. I love spending time outdoors. I love my family. I love my friends. I love to smile, and I love to laugh. I love Volleyball and I love Tennis. Running can be fun! Orange is the greatest color. I am obsessed with Cold Stone. I want to own an amusement park of my own someday. Australia is my favorite and I wish I had a pet Kangaroo. I want to have 8 children of my own someday. Spending time on temple grounds is what I do for fun. I love my Father in Heaven, and I love my Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know it. I live it. I love it. The church has without a doubt molded the person that I am today. Growing up in a city such as Las Vegas, I have been exposed to environments which the world would consider to be so fun and exciting. Partying, gambling, drinking alcohol, smoking, participating in sexual activity outside of marriage, etc. (the list could go on and on) are all things that are seen by the world as what fun and happiness looks like. I can testify that living the way that any active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints would, is truly the way to not only experiencing temporary happiness, but eternal joy. The gospel brings to my life all of what is most important to me. Knowing where I came from. What my purpose is here on this earth. Where I am going when I die. Knowing that I can live with my family forever. Beautiful music that lifts my soul. Sitting in a church meeting on a beautiful Sunday morning and being touched by the spirit so much so that the love and peace I feel overwhelms me to where all I can do is sit and cry. The joy the the gospel brings me is unparalleled. I know that I have a loving Father in Heaven who looks down on my every day. I know that he knows me by name, and cares more about me that I care about myself. I know that my older brother Jesus Christ came down to this earth to suffer and die for me to give me the chance to be able to return to live with him and my family forever. I know that Joseph Smith was indeed visited by God and Jesus Christ, and that they did in actuality speak to him. I am grateful for all of these blessings. I am humbled by the love I have been given. And most importantly, I know with all of my soul, that I am a child of God.

How I live my faith

Spending time with others and having a great time is what I do best. I would consider myself to be a very outgoing and happy-go-lucky person. Therefore, I have spent the last few months at church being in charge of all of the member's activities. I put together all of the church parties and get-togethers. It puts me in the perfect position to meet new people, make new friends, and put my personality to serious use! Serving others is one of those things in my life that makes me the happiest. I have also been in many leadership positions within the church including multiple responsibilities in Presidencies within the Young Men's program. The Young Men's program being so closely knit with the Boy Scouts of America has also been responsible for my achievement in becoming an Eagle Scout which I benefit from every day. Through these responsibilities I have been assigned to serve and care for 3 families each month. I love spending time with these families. When I am supposed to be doing my best to strengthen and bless their lives, in actuality they are the ones who strengthen and uplift me. Outside of Church I am involved in my University's Student Government. I do the same things there. I help plan all of the schools extra-curricular activities. Remembering that all of us are children of the same Father in Heaven who loves us all so dearly, is what drives me to love every person I come in contact with.
