Hi I'm David Wilson

I'm an Arizona native, college graduate, Army veteran, father of eight children, and business owner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest of seven children. I am the father of eight children and grandfather to twenty grandchildren. I love my wife, children, and grandchildren and I want to be with them forever. I graduated from BYU with a BS in Recreation. I love to sing and dance. I have been in different choirs and my wife and I were on the BYU ballroom dance team. Over the last twelve years, we have been asked to prepare three separate adult waltz formation numbers for three dance festivals. While at BYU I completed the Army ROTC program. I spent two years on active duty at Fort Hood working in recreation. We started our own cleaning business. We cleaned residential, commercial, and new interior construction cleanup. We had the business for twenty five years. We made a good living and we were able to teach our children how to work hard. Because of the business, we were able to send all four sons and two daughters on missions for the church. I am currently employed as an enrollment advisor in the school of nursing at Walden University (totally online university). I will retire in early January 2013, and my wife and I are going serve a mission for our church in the England Leeds Mission. This assignment is especially exciting for me, because my father was born in Sheffield, England and all of my ancestors on my father's side are within the boundaries of our mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was active in the LDS Church. I grew up learning the answers to the questions; where did I come from, why am I here, and where am I going after I leave this life? This is God's Plan of Happiness for all of His children. My family and I strive daily to keep God's commandments, and do His will. Since we have been sealed in the temple, we can be a forever family. I enjoy reading the scriptures each day, especially the Book of Mormon. It contains a record of God's dealings with the inhabitants of the American continent as recorded by prophets. It is a testament of Christ and supports the Holy Bible. Together they are witnesses of Christ's mission to all mankind. .

How I live my faith

I am learning how to follow the Savior's example of love and service every day, not just on Sundays. I am very grateful for the principle of prayer. I can communicate with our Father in Heaven at any time and at any place. I am thankful for all the many blessings God has given to my family and me. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ which has been restored to the earth in these latter days. I am grateful to be an instrument in serving and administering to the needs of others.
