Hi I'm Kay

I'm a Washingtonian. I'm a YouTuber, Filmmaker, and Musician. I'm a blessed Daughter of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Life may have its ups and downs, but life is definitely a blessing. The Lord's true church, the Gospel, the good Lord Himself, have given me a lot of hope and strength. I know that the Lord loves me. I know that I'm certainly a Child of God. The Lord has been an amazing friend towards myself, my loving fiancé, and I couldn't ask for a better Heavenly friend. The Savior is truly amazing. I'm thankful for His love and never-ending grace. As an ex-atheist, I know that my Redeemer lives. Remember, “...with God all things are possible.” Keep the faith!

Why I am a Mormon

Before I'd joined the church, I was Secular. I didn't have a positive view of the church or Mormons in general. However, I didn't have a clear understanding either. My friend, John, brought the Gospel into my life along with two other missionaries. Before the Gospel was brought into my life, I had an experience that made me certain there's a God. These experiences made me certain that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, my Lord, and my Savior. However, I wasn't sure about which Church to join. Mainstream Christianity wasn't for me and I didn't want to follow the same path of misunderstanding again. I told my friend about the experience that I had. He was very happy for me and we talked a bit about that experience. August 25th 2012, my friend and the two missionaries talked to me about the Church, the Gospel, and my friend gave me a copy of The Book of Mormon. This had happened so fast after my experience. I didn't know what to think at first. Not even a day or two after my experience and I had the missionaries knocking at my door. I was actually thinking about throwing the book away, but I decided to read it. I prayed about it and I got my answer. I attended the Church for the first time on September 2, 2012. I was baptized on September 22nd 2012, and I was confirmed the next day. I'm thankful that there's a Father in Heaven that loves me, I'm thankful for the Savior, and I'm thankful for the Holy Ghost. I'm thankful for the Gospel and the Church coming into my life. Life's been tough at times; however, being a member of such a wonderful church has brought me much happiness and joy.

How I live my faith

I attend church. I work on my family genealogy. I go to the temple when I'm able to. I read the scriptures daily and I pray daily as well. I'm not pushy with my faith, but I definitely do share the Gospel and about the restoration when I have the opportunity.

What is faith?

Kay
There're many ways to describe what faith means. The easiest way for me to describe faith, is believing in things which are unseen, or hoped for, but also acting upon those things as if they're true. Hebrews 1:11 describes the basic concept of faith perfectly. For instance, I have faith that Jesus Christ is my Lord, and Savior. So since I do have that faith, I try to follow the Lord's commandments to the best of my ability. Show more Show less
