Hi I'm Lynne

I grew up on a farm in Idaho where I learned to see the work of our Father in Heaven in daily life, I am a Mormon.

About Me

After high school I left my parents home for college where I met and married my sweetheart and eternal companion. Together we raised 6 wonderful and independent children. We are blessed with 16 grandchildren who bring us great joy. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling with my husband, spending time with friends and reading great literature. I love the out doors and find nature a testimony of the greatness of our Father in Heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by parents and grandparents who loved me and introduced me to the Mormon church. I observed my grandmother's relationship with the Savior as a child. I saw how real He was to her and heard her talk to Him as though He was present in the room. As I grew older the choice of going to church or staying home was left to me. I found that when I stayed away I felt an emptiness inside that was uncomfortable. I came to understand that I was missing the influence of the spirit in my life. I wanted that feeling back, I wanted to feel about the Savior as my grandmother had. Through studying the Book of Mormon, prayer and trying to do the things that Jesus taught, I have come to have a relationship with Him. I know that Jesus lives. He is real, He cares for me as He cares for all of us. Why am I a Mormon? Because I love the Savior and practicing the principles of the gospel brings me closer to Him.

How I live my faith

I love visiting with the women in our neighborhood. There is something very rewarding in taking a meal to a family who has a new baby or is experiencing some sort of difficulty. A phone call, visit, providing transportation or baby sitting for someone makes me feel connected to the people who live around me and brings us closer together as neighbors and friends.
