Hi I'm Diane

I was born and raised in Utah. I am a retired elementary school teacher/principal. I have been a Mormon my whole life.

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life. I just retired after teaching elementary school for thirty-one years. I am married and have six children and nine grand children. I served an LDS mission in the Missouri-Independence Mission before I married and my husband and I are about to serve another mission in a few weeks. Being a Mormon has been the greatest blessing of my life. I have a wonderful family and we enjoy getting together on a regular basis to enjoy a good meal and just simply being with one another. We have been blessed abundantly and have also had our share of life's challenges. You could say we are pretty much a normal all American family who love one another and work together to support and help each other.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. My parents were baptized members but were inactive as I grew up. I always had a desire to be at church and would attend with my friends and sit with their families during church meetings. As the only active member of my family I always felt that I was being watched over by my Father in Heaven. I found myself in many situations where I needed help and guidance, some critical and some just seeking answers. It seemed answers would always come and when I acted on them things would unfold in a way that I never believed possible. As I grew, to this very day, I still have that feeling that I am being watched over. I have faced various challenges and hardships where all I could do is turn to the Lord for help and I have always felt his presence in my life. I know that He lives. I know that Jesus is the Christ. I know that the church was restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith so that we could enjoy all the blessing of His gospel in our lives. I know that we lived with our Father in Heaven before we came to this earth and we will return to Him again one day. I would invite anyone who reads this testimony to investigate the LDS church for yourself and see the joy that can come to you as you read the Book of Mormon, pray to know of it's truthfulness and enter the waters of baptism. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I have always had a church calling or job. I have worked with the children ages 1-12 on the ward level, I have led the activities of the young women on a ward level and I have worked most recently in the field of emergency preparedness. No matter what the calling is that I am involved in at the time, my family and I end up receiving many blessings in our lives. It is true that what goes around in life, comes around. As we work to serve in the church we are blessed for our sacrifices and faith. I am happiest when I am serving others and therefore, I receive great joy from serving in church callings. I know that if I give my all to others and the church, when I need help the Lord will always there to open doors for me and help me.
