Hi I'm Emily

I am 22. I love curry. I enjoy people. I am bad with directions. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am from a family of seven; all looking alike, with blonde-hair and fair skin. I grew up in a small town, and love it. There were less than 500 in my high school. I worked in a friendly fast food restaurant for 5 years (Mostly during highschool) to earn money for college. I began college in 2009 and my childhood desire to become a school teacher was starting to progress. My love for teaching grew, as well as my desire to learn more! I have just finished my third year of school, and was accepted into the Elementary Education Program! When money was tight, I would buy quick oats in bulk to eat. Living frugile and working hard brought some of my greatest memories yet! I wanted more life experience and quickly learned that in order to grow (as a person) I needed to extend myself out of my comfort zone. That realization helped me make some decisions, which at first I was unsure about, But later knew were right! Some of these decisions included my summer jobs: Sales Representative for Pest Control (Omaha, NE), Nanny (Las Vegas, NV), and Counselor in a Correctional Facility (Utah). Though sometimes tough, these were great experiences. I learned from each and loved them all! My most recent and best decision of all, was to take 18 months to serve my Lord in an LDS mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I know what God has in store for me, and I want to work towards my divine potential. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints gives my life direction and purpose, and goals which I can continually work towards.

How I live my faith

I hadn't always had an excitement for church, the way I do now. Then one day, something changed inside me. I had the desire to gain a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. The more I came to know Christ, the more my desire grew to be more like him. Living this way brought a new sense of happiness to my life. The opportunity to serve as a Missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been such a blessing in my life.
