Hi I'm David Allsop

I grew up in Utah. I am missionary for the LDS church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one who really loves to just do it all! I absolutely love sports, music (especially singing) and photography. Basically, anywhere where there are good people having a good time is somewhere I want to be. Spending time with my family is one of the things I love most. In the past I studied at BYU, possibly going into social services or the medical field, but currently I serve as a full time missionary for the Church, which I am just loving so much.

Why I am a Mormon

From my youth I was involved in the church mostly because my parents were going to church. I always went to church on Sundays, youth nights during the week, but I really didn't know whether it was all quite what God wanted for me. I decided to read the Book of Mormon, knowing there was a promise that if I sincerely read and prayed about it, I could know it was true. So, I did! I read it, and as I prayed about it, I was able to feel a witness from the Holy Ghost, a calm peaceful feeling that came over me, indicating that it was true. Because of that witness, I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints really is God's true and living church. More than just a knowledge of a true church, that witness has meant so much more. I realize that through Christ, I can be clean of my sin, see loved ones close that have passed after this life, and have peace in this life and in the life to come. What a blessing! I truly love the restored gospel of Jesus Christ!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving as a full-time missionary for the church. I have left my home in Utah to go to share the teachings of Jesus Christ that have blessed my life. I am blessed to be able to talk with people each and every day about the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to invite them to come unto Him. To me, living my Faith means that I go and share it with others. It has left a profound impact on my life, and I want that to be part of others lives to bless them, just like me!
