Hi I'm Dixie Christensen

I'm a Mormon! "I know it, I live it, I love it." - Sister Ann M. Dibbs

About Me

I grew up in a little farming community on my family's farm. I have good parents who lived the gospel and taught me to live it as well. That background has turned me into who I am today. Now I've been married in the temple and am working at being a good wife and future mother. I'm finishing up my education, getting a degree in Math and Physics Education. I love making treats, playing games, quilting and snowmobiling. But most of all, I love being surrounded by family!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy! This is something I learned, especially as I left home for the first time to go to college. Living the principles of the gospel brings so much happiness into my life. I don't mean that every hour of every day of every week is perfect and exciting. I have bad days and trials just like anyone else. But I can see, everyday, the effects of living right. It helps me be a better wife. It helps me be a better friend. It helps me make smarter choices. It helps me serve in my community. Being part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints makes me a better person, and that makes me happy! I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church on the Earth today. I know we are led and guided by a prophet who is inspired and led by God. I know that families can be together forever, and I am so grateful for that knowledge! I know I have a Savior who died for me and then rose again that I might be able to do the same. I know He knows me and loves me! And I know He lives and cares and speaks to us still today.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are attending are attending a married student ward right now, which is a unique kind of atmosphere. I'm serving as the pianist for the choir in our ward right now. I love the music of the church! Hymns bring a special spirit or feeling to any meeting where we sing or hear one. I'm also serving as a visiting teacher. I love visiting a couple of the sisters in my ward. It is one of the best ways to make friends! Even only after a few visits, I've noticed how much I really care about those two women and their families. When I pray for them, I come to love them even more.
