Hi I'm Rashel

I grew up in Arizona. I've moved around the US a lot. I'm a mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married for 20 years and I have 3 living children. My husband and I have lived in Utah, Mississippi, Arizona, Texas, California, Oregon, Minnesota, Illinois, Kansas and North Carolina since we got married. I love to read, cook and spend time with my family. I have a BS degree in Human Development and I have spent most of my married life as a stay at home mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that this is where I can learn the most about my Father in Heaven and His plan for me. I am able to learn how to draw closer to Him and to become the person he wants me to be. It is the only church that holds the promise and the authority to bind families together forever. In 1998 I gave birth to a premature son who only lived for 12 hours. It broke my heart to lose him, but I feel comfort and hope in knowing that we will be together again and I am motivated to do my best to accept the Atonement in my life so that I can be together with my loved ones forever.

How I live my faith

Even though I am a shy person, I love people and so I work hard to reach out to others in ways that are manageable for me. I am grateful to belong to a church where I am blessed with many opportunities to share God's love and to feel it from others as well. I learn so much about God's love from the Bible and the Book of Mormon and I know that as I follow my Savior's example, I will be a better person. Jesus Christ always reached out to those around Him in love and mercy when He lived upon this earth and He continues to do so now.
