Hi I'm Aerin

I love basketball, music, chick-flicks, and ice cream. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Basketball is the best sport hands down. I played basketball in high school and for my first year of college as a point guard and shooting guard. In my free time I love to run and work out. I love variety, meaning I pretty much like to do everything! I play the guitar, the ukulele, and a little bit of piano. Other activities that I enjoy doing are photography, skiing, baking, traveling, going to the beach, and writing. Right now I'm going to school to be a graphic artist. I'm a very visual person, so I love designs, pictures, and art.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has brought purpose and happiness into my life. I love having a knowledge that God does exist and He knows and loves me. Even though I sometimes make mistakes, I can always repent and try to do better. I've read the Book of Mormon and it is true. I know that God lives and has given us this gospel to be happy. I know that death is not the end and that if we follow Christ we can live with our families for eternity.

How I live my faith

I try to put the Lord first in my life, and when I do it seems like everything else in my life falls into place. I always start my day with prayer and scripture study, because I want to come closer to my Heavenly Father. I want to talk to and serve those around me so they can feel my love and the Savior's love for them.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Reading the scriptures helps you put life in perspective. Whenever I read the scriptures, I remember what's most important in life. I can feel God's love for me, and I have a desire to follow His commandments. In addition, you can find our for yourself if the church is true through scripture study. When I read The Book of Mormon for the first time, I felt peace and assurance that it was true. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Not at all. We believe that everyone is a son or daughter of God. I'm out on a mission right now, and as missionaries we all try to help and serve EVERYONE...not just those of our faith. We love to offer service and help to anyone who may be in need. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

I'm serving a mission right now, and what we do as missionaries is share a message that is centered on Jesus Christ. Each person we teach has different challenges and trials, but no matter what they are going through this message blesses and helps them. We also talk about God's plan for all of His children, and how we can be able to one day return to live with Him. I love sharing this message because it is a message of joy, peace, hope, and love. I know without the slightest doubt that it is true, and I know that when you hear it you will feel the same. Show more Show less
