Hi I'm Jessica Dennert

I'm blessed. I'm happy. I'm married and can hardly wait to be a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Idaho Falls. It was there that I met, fell in love with and married the man of my dreams. I love spending time outdoors with family and friends. I love to be silly and make other people laugh. I love boating, riding four wheelers and taking walks outside. I love the beauty and peace I find in nature. On the other end of the spectrum I also love to read and curl up on cold nights with a good book or movie. One of my life goals is to always be happy, even when life is hard and seems unbearable. I have figured out that happiness depends a lot on my attitude. I want to be a mother more than anything else. I believe that motherhood is a divine role and I look forward to when I can be a mother and teach my own children about the gospel that I am so thankful for.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a little girl my dad was asking me what I wanted to be. What sports I wanted to pursue and what I wanted to get good at. As my dad was pressuring me to decide what I would work on I asked him, "Can't I just be a good person?" I have made mistakes along the way, but I am trying everyday to be a little better and try a little harder. I love being a mormon because I know that I wouldn't be the same person without the church. The gospel helps me fullfil my goals of happiness and trying to be the best Jessica I can be. I know that this church is true and I'm thankful that I was blessed enough to be born into a family that has helped make living the principles of the gospel in a wicked world a little easier.

How I live my faith

I returned from a mission in August of 2014. I served, learned, and loved the people in the Germany Berlin mission. Before I left I thought that I had a strong testimony that this is the true church and that there is nothing Heavenly Father gives us that we can't handle. After serving my mission My testimony is even stronger that GOd is there. He loves us more than we can imagine and we have an unlimited potential. I firmly believe that Joseph Smith restored the gospel and I want to help others come to know of this truth. I live the gospel standards by having good friends that help make living righteously a little easier. I set my sights high and know that anything is possible with faith in the Lord and hard work. I want others to know Christ through me because I am living and acting the way a disciple of Christ should act.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jessica Dennert
The Atonement was a selfless act performed by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is through the Atonement that we are able to overcome obstacles and be forgiven. One of my favorite scriptures that teaches about the atonement is found in the Book of Mormon in Alma 7:11-13. It reads, "11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people. 12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities. 13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me." One of my favorite words that is used to describe the Atonement is infinite. The definition of the word infinite is, immeasurably great, unlimited or unmeasurable in extent of space, duration of time, unbounded or unlimited; boundless; endless. I love the words used to describe infinite. The sacrifice and love that Christ and Heavenly Father has for us is unlimited, un measurable, and boundless. Show more Show less
