Hi I'm Courtney

I grew up in California. I'm a big sister, a Preschool Teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I am Courtney! Currently I am working as a Preschool Teacher in Orem, Utah. I work with children who are 3 years old and I love it! Teaching is my life and one of my passions. I also was recently married at the beginning of 2014, to my best friend and wonderful husband Chris. I am a writer at heart. I love writing everything from news articles to poems to stories. I even worked for awhile as a Freelance Reporter for a small town newspaper. I also am very into movies. I love watching them, and of course I have a few favorites. I am also very much into service and family. I am from a rather large family, that I love very much. I also love having opportunities to serve others, whether it be big or small and simple acts of service. Lastly, I love doing family history work currently. It is so much fun and so inspiring to learn about my ancestors and others that came before me, and to be able to do the temple work for them. And I have found many new individuals through my family lines.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 6 years old by a family member, but do to choices not of my own, I was unable to join the church until I was 18 years old. But I was able to grow up with and around many strong members, they all were much help to me and such wonderful examples. My testimony of the gospel and Jesus Christ began growing at a very young age. Now, it has been 8 years since I joined the Church, and I am so grateful! Now that I have been married in the temple as well, I am extremely more grateful for the plan that Heavenly Father has for each of us. I love this Church and I know that it is true. I have a strong testimony that families can be together forever, that the atonement is available to help us all return to live with Heavenly Father someday, that family history and temple work are important for us to do for ourselves and for others, and I have a great love and appreciation for the temple, which I truly know is the house of the Lord. I know that I am a daughter of God, and that he loves us all, and that we all are his children.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I am currently serving, along with my husband, in the Nursery. I love this calling and love being able to serve others and the Lord.
